Ti’ Acadie
Ti’ Acadie
(TEE Ah-kah-DEE) is French for “a little Acadia”. The band
members are
Pam Weeks (fiddle, Appalachian dulcimer, vocals), Bill Olson
(guitar, bass,
vocals, calling) and Jim Joseph (button accordion, banjo,
mandolin, percussion,
vocals). This trio from western and midcoast Maine has

closely connected! They also play dance tunes from Quebec and the
southern Appalachians,
and sing songs from Maine and many other genres in
three part
harmony. Ti’ Acadie is available for contra dances, Cajun dances,

Bob is best
known for sea songs and sailors’ shanties, but he also sings and
plays traditional
folk songs. His recently released CD Full Circle: The Solo

reprises more than 40 years of his banjo playing. Mary
McCaslin calls
him “one of the best clawhammer banjo players in the country.”

Southern mountain banjo tunes, fingerstyle guitar, and
melodies on
the rarely-heard MacCann-duet concertina. His recordings are
