Faster Domestic Shipping Choices:

If you require Overnight or 2nd Day Air shipping:
We can ship by those methods, but: We try to ship orders within 3 business days of receiving them.
We may not be able to ship orders the same day they are received because others may be ahead of you.
We process orders in the sequence that they were received.

Shipping by UPS: We need your full street address, company name,suite or apartment number, as they will not deliver to just a street name.
If you are in a rural area with no street addresses, then we need directions to your house, so we can put that on the package. Please include any company names, suite numbers.
Please make sure to give the correct complete address, as there is a UPS address correction fee that we would need to charge you if the address you gave is incorrect ($5.00 if ground, $10.00 if air).
UPS delivers on weekdays. (some cities have Saturday delivery for an extra fee).
If you want your order sent COD by UPS (continental USA), make money order payable to Song of the Sea
for the merchandise + shipping + $9.00 UPS COD fee. We can tell you the shipping costs.
For UPS shipments, they are allowed to leave packages if nobody is home.

If you want your order sent by Ground UPS, the number of days it takes to get there are counted by business days (Monday - Friday). So if it says it takes 5 days, it does not include weekends or holidays in that count.

UPS Next Day or 2nd Day The charge for UPS 2nd day or UPS next day air packages is determined by the size of the package in addition to the regular charges for the weight of the package and zip code.
A lightweight but large package can cost 2 or 3 times more for air UPS than regular ground UPS.
If you want your order sent COD by UPS (continental USA), make money order payable to Song of the Sea
for the merchandise + shipping + UPS COD fee. We can tell you the shipping costs.
UPS does not guarantee on time delivery of air packages if the weather is too bad or if it is very close to Christmas, and it is not possible to give a refund on shipping costs during those times, because they will not give a refund.

Express Mail We generally use Express Mail for orders outside continental USA. We need your phone number for Express Mail.

Special Orders, Layaways, Deposits:
Special orders may not be returned and require a deposit of 50% of the amount.
Delivery times for special orders are approximate and subject to change. (Uilleann pipes have different deposit amounts listed on the uilleann pipes page). We have many instruments on order (such as harps), but need to reserve them with a deposit, so we can make sure to have one for you when it is ready.
The balance is due at time of shipping (either from us or if it is to be drop shipped).
We will give an estimate of when the specially ordered item will be shipped, but delivery times are approximate and subject to change.
Layaways: If you want us to hold an item that we have in stock, we ask for a nonrefundable deposit of 15% of the amount to hold it for you. We ask that you complete the sale within 30 days.

**Return Policy**
We will give you a refund or exchange for the value of the items, as long as they reach us in good condition. Insure the package if needed and send it by UPS (will have a tracking number, so it cannot get lost)
Please inspect your purchases before leaving our store or when you receive shipment.	Song of the Sea will not be held liable for injury resulting from the use of the products we sell.
If an item is damaged when you receive it	Save the box and packing material and call us for assistance. We may need to make a postal or UPS claim, and they may need to inspect the package, so do not throw it away.
If you want to return or exchange an item that does not have a problem:	Call us within 3 days after you buy it at our store or receive shipment. Tell us your receipt number for return authorization. Send it back to us by UPS insured or mail, as you may need to make a claim if it gets damaged in transit back to us. It needs to reach us within 14 days after it reached you, and it needs to be in good, undamaged condition. We cannot give refunds or exchanges after 14 days or for items that have been altered or damaged. INSTRUMENT CARE Do not overheat, overcool, overdry or overwet your instrument. Optimal temp is 65-80 F and humidity 55-75%. Do not leave your instrument in a car as these conditions may damage your instrument.
We take great care in packing each order, so that it will arrive promptly in good condition.We hope that you will enjoy the instruments you have purchased from us, and we will be glad to help you in making your choices.	Reeds and Harmonicas may not be returned, for sanitary reasons. Special order items may not be returned. Deposits on layaways are nonrefundable. Strings are not warranted against breakage.If you need assistance in changing broken strings or how to help prevent harp strings from breaking, please inquire.

Foreign Orders
We need your middle initial, phone number and street address (not Postal Box) for Foreign Orders.
We generally use Airmail not insured (under $50) or Express Mail insured (over $50) for foreign orders.
During the Christmas holiday season (starting December 1), we usually ship by Express Mail insured for orders $30 and over,
so that it cannot get lost and you will get a tracking number. Payment Options for Foreign Orders:
Shipping costs do not include any customs fees or taxes in your country.
Please check with your local customs office first.

2. Payment through PayPal
If your country is not listed, or if you do not have a credit card, then we can accept payment through PayPal. http://www.paypal.com
We can tell you how much the total + shipping will be in US dollars.
You have to go into your PayPal account, or set one up following their directions. They either take money out of your bank account or credit card.

Tell PayPal to use orders@songsea.com for payment and that the amount needs to be in US dollars.
Please copy and paste in the PayPal comments section the items you have ordered, and let us know when you have paid through PayPal, so we will know to look for it.
When payment has been received, then we can ship your order.


3. Wiring the money to our savings account: We can tell you how much the total + shipping will be in US Dollars. We can email you instructions and details. When payment has been received, then we can ship your order.
4. Wire US funds by Western Union. http://www.westernunion.com You can go on their website to find out the location of the Western Union closest to you. We can tell you how much the total + shipping will be in US Dollars. You will need to tell us when you have arranged payment, as we have to go collect the payment at our local office. Western Union accepts cash only (they can tell you how much it will be in your currency + their fees). Make it payable to Anne Damm and tell them it will be going to Bar Harbor, ME 04609 Do not make it payable to Song of the Sea (it has to be made to a person). When payment has been received, then we can ship your order.
5. Paying in US funds from Canadian customers: The check must be a bank money order (not personal check). It must have "US funds" typed on the check. It must have a 9 digit routing number, which shows that it is a US bank. We cannot take checks in other currencies or from other countries. When payment has been received, then we can ship your order.
6. Foreign Exchange rate website: http://www.xe.com/ucc/This will give you an approximate exchange rate.

Shipping Methods for Foreign Orders: Pleaseemail us for shipping costs, if you want to know before we ship your order, otherwise we will go ahead and send your order.

FOREIGN - under $50, usually under 5 lbs., and smaller than 24 inches long, Airmail (air letter post) not insured
(this will not have a tracking number, and we cannot locate any missing packages, but it is less costly)
example: 3 lb package to Italy: takes about 6-10 days to reach Italy (plus any time it takes to clear Customs)

FOREIGN - over $50, Express Mail insured (this will have a tracking number and insurance).
example: 3 lb package to Italy: takes about 4-7 days to reach Italy (plus any time it takes to clear Customs)

If a package is too large for Air Letter Post or Express Mail:
then we will need to ship it by Airmail parcel post if under $50 or (insured if over $50). This does not have a tracking number.
