The length stated below is measured from the end of the mouthpiece to the top of the threaded section that goes into the stock of the bagpipe. (the threaded section is not included in the length). Which length should you get? There are personal preferences, but a rough guide according to your height would be: 6' 1" (and up)= 12 inch Airstream blowpipe 5'11" = 11 inch Airstream blowpipe 5' 10" = 10 inch Airstream blowpipe 5' 9" = 9 inch Airstream blowpipe 5' 8" = 8 inch Airstream blowpipe You can cut down the mouth piece to get a shorter length. You might wish to choose one that is an inch shorter than what is above. A shorter blowpipe will raise the bag in your arm, and a longer blowpipe will lower the bag in your arm. It is personal preference what part of your arm you like to squeeze the bag with and where you want the length of the drones to fall on your shoulder. 8"
